MasFix supplies fasteners, fixings and tools to the maintenance, offshore, electronics, aerospace & defense, petrochemical and marine sectors. Despite operating in a £630m market, a bespoke distribution centre and a committed and able workforce, their growth had flatlined in recent years.
Through our consultation process, we discovered that their main problems were their lack of a distinct proposition and their existing name; M&S Distributors. The lack of a distinct proposition meant that they had difficulty attracting clients that could give them the growth they desired. Their name didn’t communicate a reason to buy from them.
We developed a refreshed identity and tagline after guiding them through a name change to MasFix. This updated proposition was able to convey the benefits of buying from MasFix rather than the features that were offered. Following the rebrand, MasFix experienced a 20% increase in turnover within the first 12 months; the highest in it’s 30 year history.
